The Onsted Boys Cross Country team finished 2nd (out of 10 team) at the Early Bird Invitational at Gerber park in Blissfield. Medalists for the Wildcats (top 30 finishers) were sophomore Ivan Westgate, who finished 4th overall with a time of 17:25, senior Matt Doyle (9th - 18:13), sophomore Ethan Goodrow ( 12th - 18:22), sophomore Blake Klocke (16th - 18:42), freshman Jonah Rankin (25th - 19:20) and junior Elijah McKown (28th - 19:32). Coach Mozena is proud of the way his entire team ran and how they are always improving.
The Onsted Girls Cross country team also did very well finishing 4th overall as a team. Top finisher for the Wildcats was senior Lauren Goodrow, who finished 4th overall with a time of 20:39. Other medalists included, junior Alexandria Bayes (21st - 23:42), junior Saoirse Conley (22nd - 23:44) and junior Meadow Robinson (29th - 24:27).
The Wildcats will be in Jackson on Saturday, Sept. 23rd to compete in the Jackson Invitational at Sharp Park.
